One of JASCO’s recent goals has been to extend our skills in VoIP technology and qualify as one of only a handful of Microsoft partners worldwide to achieve the status of “Voice-Ready”. We are now proud to announce our recent achievement of entry into the Unified Communications Voice Partner Program (UC VPP). We hope our newly acquired “Voice-Ready” status will highlight to the Microsoft and client communities our willingness to not only adopt and embrace emerging technologies in the exciting new field of Unified Communications, but be a leader in production deployments of them. As a member of the UC VPP we have access to a wealth of internal Microsoft resources designed to help JASCO to build our skill set, which in turn benefit our customers by providing them with the right answers when it comes to Unified Communications. So what do we mean by Unified Communications (UC)? In more practical terms, a Unified Communications project means fewer frustrating phone tag games, better customer service, and better staff collaboration wherever they may be. An excerpt from Microsoft.com: ”Microsoft unified communications technologies use the power of software to deliver complete communications—messaging, voice, and video—across the applications and devices that people use every day. Integrating the experiences you associate with the telephone—phone calls, voice mail, and conferencing—the work you do on a computer—documents, spreadsheets, instant messaging, e-mail, and calendars—has the power to fundamentally change the way people work.” With technology proliferating all around us, Unified Communications is the clear way forward to embrace new technologies while simplifying the user experience. Hopefully, you’ll find the whole idea of Unified Communications as compelling as we do at JASCO. |
