Microsoft Azure

Azure is a cloud platform that Microsoft has designed for building, deploying and managing services and applications. Microsoft Azure does not only offer traditional cloud offerings such as storage and content delivery networks, but also offers services that leverage Microsoft technologies and open technologies. It allows reliable access to your cloud hosted data and lets you to add cloud capabilities to existing network through its platform as a service (PaaS) model and Infrastructure as a service (IaaS).

Skype for Business

Such features are particularly efficient for companies that have multiple locations and for those who travel, as it allows for simple and easy collaboration. As security is paramount to the success of an organisation, Microsoft Office 365 has focused on and incorporated robust policies, control and systems that are built into the product that fit within your organisations security needs.

Office 365

Office 365 is a suite of desktop basic productivity applications designed precisely for office or business use.  The collection of applications has their own unique purpose, offering a specific service to its users that is necessary to get work done in the modern enterprise. The suit includes Microsoft Word, which is used for creating documents, Microsoft PowerPoint, which is used to create presentations, and Microsoft Outlook is used to manage email and calendars as well as Access, Excel, OneNote, Publisher, Project and Visio.

Network Security

Network security is only one aspect of making your organisation secure. Network security is not simply a firewall or series of firewalls that provide edge protection from the internet. Network security compromises, Firewalls, Intrusion detection and prevention devices, Malware Protection, “Enterprise Security” wireless deployments and Network Access control.
Next Generation Firewalls (NGFW’s) are the evolution of traditional firewalls which are more in tune with level of sophistication in security attacks of today.

In addition to stateful inspection provided by traditional firewalls, NGFW’s include;

  • Application level filtering as opposed to port and protocol level filtering
  • IPS protection
  • Malware protection and URL Filtering
  • Identity based security where security policies

Next Generation firewalls are an all-in-one encompassing solution but NGFW’s alone is not suited to larger enterprise customers.

A more secure approach is to use NGFW’s in combination with individual security component from multiple vendors on multiple appliances.

Data & WAN/LAN

The foundation of an organisations ICT is connectivity. Whether this is inter or intra-office communication, connectivity to cloud services, or IP based voice services, ensuring a reliable network that matches the needs of the business is a must.

With this in mind and a strong understanding of what the future will entail, Jasco Consulting provides some of Australia best network engineers with a combined experience of over 40 years. Jasco staff have qualifications in Cisco Networking, including CCIE level qualifications, Voice, and Security, Juniper Networking, and Meraki Networking.

It allows network managers to see all the applications, users, devices, and links on the network, and to easily redirect bandwidth to critical applications. The solution combines Layer 7 visibility with network quality metrics, so network managers can quickly understand how bandwidth is being used at each event. This analysis enables the network managers to find out information about event attendees, such as the different websites they are visiting based on IP addresses or the part of the network they are in.

By introducing Sinefa into the networks, network managers can manage the bandwidth effectively by prioritizing business critical application/s on the link/s

Remote Access

Remote Access broadly describes technologies used to access your work environment, in a secure manner, while traveling or working from home. Remote access solutions can be as simple as a PPTP server requiring only username and password to a more complex solution that encompasses;

  • SSL\TLS transport to allow traversal of more firewalls
  • Multifactor authentication to confirm authenticity of the remote users
  • Shared secrets or certificates to provide an additional security layer
  • Endpoint posture assessment to execute checks on remote devices to ensure they meet company policy and are deemed secure enough to connect.
  • Full tunneling to ensure that all internet access is filtered as per company policy.
Identity

Identity and Access Management (IAM) allows us to enable the right individuals to access the right resources at the right times and for the right reasons.

It is the corner stone of modern day access management and should be considered as part of any broader security conversation. With the emergence of consumer influences into Enterprise IT, it is common for people to want to share and access digital resources from a range of devices or application services which may or may not be provided by a corporate IT dept. By Incorporating Identity and Access Management into modern solutions, businesses can expand access to digital resources while still protecting and governing corporate IP and resources.

Jasco provide a number of services and solutions within the IAM, ranging from Network Protocols, Digital Certificates, Multi-Factor Authentication, Federation Services and Identity synchronisation solutions.

MFA

Multi-factor Authentication enables applications to use more than one method of authentication to increase security. This is often summarised as something you have, something you own and something you are. MFA services can be delivered as a cloud or on-premises service that integrate with VPN, RDS and Citrix remote access solutions to name a few, through an identity provider such as Active Directory Domain Services or Azure Active Directory.

SDN

Software-Defined Networking (SDN) helps organisations accelerate application deployment and delivery, dramatically reducing IT costs through policy-enabled work-flow automation. SDN technology enables cloud architectures by providing automated, on-demand application delivery and mobility at scale. Whether you send backup data to Azure or keep it locally on the Azure Backup Server, the software needs to be connected to an Azure recovery services vault. We find that this model allows our customers to find the best balance between keeping clean fast short-term backups locally while offsetting the long term storage costs associated with backup to cheaper cloud based storage.

Network Infrastructure
